BARDEHLE PAGENBERG’s partners and trademark and design specialists Claus M. Eckhartt and Henning Hartwig shared their expert knowledge at this year’s INTA

At this year’s INTA, the 136th Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association, which took place in Hong Kong from May 10 until May 14, BARDEHLE PAGENBERG’s partners Claus M. Eckhartt and Henning Hartwig shared their expertise about IP, trademark and design law by giving presentations in the INTA program items “Table Topics” and “Concurrent Sessions”, respectively.

By staging the exchange platform “Table Topics”, the Annual Meeting offered more than 200 guided discussions on a wide variety of contemporary and central themes. Not only did the “Table Topics” trigger professional conversations but the program item also gave participants the opportunity to network with colleagues from all around the globe. In the said setting, Henning Hartwig gave a presentation on European Design Law on Tuesday, May 13. Thereby, he specifically focused on issues relating to the guidance from the General Court, providing the other participants with first-hand insight from a design law expert and advice on legal challenges and controversial issues.

Claus M. Eckhartt was amongst the speakers on the Concurrent Session “Working with Customs in Europe” on Monday, May 12. Speakers from the European Union discussed issues on transshipment and customs in Europe, including a comparison of national approaches to EU customs in a harmonized system and providing the attendees with practical tips for working with EU customs. The speakers from this panel also included representatives from the European Commission/DG TAXUD and the World Customs Organization.
