BARDEHLE PAGENBERG elevates its Spanish patent practice with new partner hire Mathieu de Rooij

BARDEHLE PAGENBERG, one of the largest Intellectual Property law firms in Europe, is pleased to announce that Mathieu de Rooij was hired as partner for its growing Barcelona office.

Mathieu’s practice as European Patent Attorney focuses on the protection, exploitation and enforcement of patents, in particular in the fields of renewable energy, medical devices, aerospace and automotive technologies.

As he has worked as patent examiner with the EPO for five years, he still maintains strong ties with the EPO and has a privileged insight into the EPO. He also has been partner at the leading Spanish IP boutique ZBM Patents for nearly ten years. He gathered broad experience in all facets of the patent system. Having been recognized for his performance in the IAM Patent 1000 rankings for many years, he also was honored to receive the “Client Choice” award multiple times.
