Oscar Rubio Solis

Oscar Rubio’s practice focuses on patent drafting and prosecution, as well as oppositions and appeals before the European Patent Office. He also performs freedom-to-operate and risk-of-infringement analyses and regularly acts as a technical expert in infringement and/or nullity proceedings before the Spanish courts.

Oscar Rubio combines extensive in-house experience at two multinational companies with several years in private practice at a leading Spanish patent firm. Through these positions, he has gained broad expertise across a wide range of engineering fields, including renewable energy, metallurgy, automotive, medical devices, and mechanical engineering.

In addition, Oscar Rubio has been listed as a Rising Star by Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) since 2019 and has been recommended in patent prosecution in Spain in IAM Patent 1000 since 2020.
