Renner worked as a senior scientist at the Institute for Communications Engineering at Technical University of Munich and published more than 20 scientific articles in the fields of communications engineering, applied coding theory, IT security, and radar sensing.

These collaborations resulted in more than 20 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers in the areas of communications engineering, applied coding theory, IT security, and radar sensing.
