His multidisciplinary background combines engineering, military leadership, law, and business. Before joining the legal profession, he served for almost fifteen years as an officer in the German Navy, where he was responsible for the operation, maintenance, and technical readiness of sophisticated aviation and naval systems.

Having gained experience at the Unified Patent Court, national patent courts, the German Federal Constitutional Court, and leading IP practices, he brings a unique combination of technical, legal, commercial, and international perspectives to technology-driven disputes.
