Saskia Mertsching

Saskia Mertsching advises national and international clients with a focus on patent litigation. As part of a mixed team of attorneys-at-law and patent attorneys, she represents clients in proceedings before the Unified Patent Court (UPC) as well as in national courts, including preliminary injunction proceedings.
Saskia also provides counsel on the assertion of standard-essential patents (SEPs) and the defense against SEP claims under antitrust law (FRAND defense). Her practice further encompasses advice on all matters relating to the licensing and assignment of patents. Saskia’s work focuses in particular on the fields of data compression - specifically audio coding - semiconductor technology, and telecommunications.
