Patent attorneys
Training as a patent attorney at BARDEHLE PAGENBERG offers you the opportunity to combine a passion for technology with legal expertise. After completing your scientific or technical studies, we help prepare you for the patent attorney examinations as part of an intensive program. As part of this, we offer you support with the theoretical side — our IP Academy, our international attorney lunches with discussions on current case law, or simply an informal chat with a senior counsel — and expose you to real-life cases, where you can put what you have learned into practice.
Because at BARDEHLE PAGENBERG, you not only receive training in German and European patent, trademark, and design application proceedings (prosecution), but also in litigation — in national cases and before the UPC. The training includes drafting patent applications, translating complex technical correlations into legal arguments, and providing support in significant legal disputes. You will become a visible part of our team during your training and will be involved in strategically important meetings with clients and in court.

Patent law clerk
As a patent law clerk trainee at BARDEHLE PAGENBERG, you will be an important part of our team right from the start. You will be a part of the process from the patent application to the granting of patents, both in national and international contexts. Your training provides the perfect preparation for formal casework, while you will also gain experience in various divisions of the firm.
Your very good command of the English language will mean you are well-equipped to deal will the large portion of our correspondence that takes place in an international context. With us, you will work virtually paperless and receive sound training that combines technology, law, and languages.

Paralegal
During your training as a paralegal at BARDEHLE PAGENBERG, you will work closely with our attorneys. You will support us in exciting patent litigation cases and learn how to prepare lawsuits, process legal documents, monitor important deadlines while ensuring reliability, and manage organizational tasks.
Your good command of English will help you to master international correspondence with confidence. We also offer you the opportunity to spend time in other departments of the firm. Your work will largely involve digital processes.

Clerkship at BARDEHLE PAGENBERG
As a clerk at BARDEHLE PAGENBERG, you will have the unique opportunity to gain valuable practical experience in one of the leading intellectual property law firms. We offer you a comprehensive insight into the work of our attorneys specializing in patent litigation as well as in the acquisition and enforcement of intellectual property rights, focusing on trademark, design, domain, and unfair competition law.
During your training or as a research assistant alongside your clerkship, you will work closely with our experienced attorneys. You will accompany us on exciting and challenging cases, which will enable you to apply and expand your practical legal knowledge. Alongside the opportunity to attend court hearings, you will support us with research activities, drafting legal documents, and preparing lawsuits.
