Singapore Ambassador His Excellency Jai S. Sohan (Guest of Honour)

Jai S. Sohan is currently the Singapore Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany. Mr Sohan joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in June 1985. From early November 2010 till his posting to Germany, Mr Sohan was the Director-General of ASEAN Directorate in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Director-General of the ASEAN Singapore National Secretariat.

Dr. Ursula Königer

Head of Law Strategic Marketing / Licensing / EMEA, Bayer Pharma AG, Berlin

Dr. Ursula Koeniger has studied at the Universities of Freiburg (Germany) and Geneva (Switzerland) and received a doctor’s degree in international contract law. She started her career as outside counsel in the Frankfurt office of the international law firm Baker & McKenzie. Since then, Dr. Königer has worked as inhouse counsel in the headquarters of the Pharma Division of the Bayer Group with a focus on licensing transactions. In 2015, she spent six months in Singapore to build up the legal department of Bayer for South East Asia.

Dr. Oliver Pfaffenzeller

Principal IP Counsel with Siemens AG, Munich

Oliver Pfaffenzeller graduated from LMU München and earned a Ph.D. in physics from RWTH Aachen. After a PostDoc position at CNRS in Paris and a technology coordinator position at the European Commission in Brussels he joined the Siemens patent department in 2000. Presently, Oliver Pfaffenzeller heads a Siemens IP team dealing with IP matters relating to low and medium voltage switching technology. He is also responsible for reporting on Chinese patent law within the Siemens patent department. He is qualified as a European Patent Attorney and a German Patentassessor.

Won Sang (Mike) Kim is leading for new business development within the Asia Pacific region, covering Food, Logistics, Bio & Pharmaceuticals and Entertainment & Media businesses. He overlooks the operations in all 15 subsidiaries held by CJ Group in the region and manages the regional offices in India, Myanmar and Thailand.

She is the only Singapore lawyer listed as one of the World’s Leading IP Strategists by IAM magazine for seven years consecutively (2009 – 2015). Audrey serves on the Board of Directors of the IP Office of Singapore (IPOS) and is a qualified lawyer in Singapore and Malaysia, a solicitor of England and Wales, and registered patent attorney.
