The Patent Litigation Group of BARDEHLE PAGENBERG continues growing even after the year 2023 started. Three young attorneys-at-law decided to join the IP firm in Munich, having started in February and at the beginning of March.

He has many years of experience as a patent litigator based on many patent infringement and invalidity proceedings in the areas of telecommunication, mechanics, and medical devices. Additionally, Martin Drews has detailed knowledge about the German and European research and innovation systems; he gained such knowledge as a ministerial official at the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research on the one hand and as a research policy officer of one of the largest political groups of the German parliament Bundestag. Dr. Martin Drews joins BARDEHLE PAGENBERG from the renowned patent law team of Hogan Lovells in Duesseldorf where he primarily handled patent infringement and invalidity proceedings in the telecommunications industry. |
![]() | Monika Harten, LL.M. (Univ. Chicago) Monika Harten studied law in Mannheim, Shanghai, and Chicago, focusing on Intellectual Property law and minoring in business economics. During her legal internship at the Munich District Court I, she was trained in Munich and at the European Commission in Brussels. Monika Harten already gained experience in patent litigation during her time at two renowned international law firms. She worked as a research assistant at Quinn Emanuel in Mannheim, and as a legal intern at Taylor Wessing in Munich. She works in different languages, primarily German, English, and Mandarin. |
![]() | Julia Bernatska Julia Bernatska starts her professional career with Ukrainian roots as an attorney-at-law focusing on patent litigation at BARDEHLE PAGENBERG. She laid the foundations for this step by working at the Chair of civil law, intellectual property, and commercial law at the University of Bayreuth and with her legal internship. Julia Bernatska was trained at Siemens AG in Nuremburg as well as at the German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Dublin. In the context of her legal internship, Julia Bernatska successfully participated in the “Munich vocational education for commercial mediators”. |
