BARDEHLE PAGENBERG team is growing by another six attorneys-at-law and patent attorneys

Press release dated November 12, 2024

The growth of the BARDEHLE PAGENBERG team remains unabated in the second half of 2024. Both attorneys-at-law and patent attorneys are expanding the joint legal and technical team of the IP boutique, and new operational specialists are supporting the long-term growth.

Johannes Lang, Managing Partner of BARDEHLE PAGENBERG, warmly welcomes all newcomers: “Their professional expertise and interpersonal qualities are the driving force behind our team. In a rapidly changing IP world, these are the very characteristics that make the crucial difference for our clients – the highest level of professional excellence, coupled with commercial perspicacity, in a perfectly coordinated team that complements each other in many ways.”

Dr. Sabine Kossak joined the firm from Olbricht Patentanwälte, where she was head of the Hamburg office. “BARDEHLE PAGENBERG offers the best of both worlds: experienced patent attorneys from all technical fields working closely with outstanding attorneys-at-law. This ensures that my clients receive good, long-term advice at a very high level, even in the face of changes and challenges brought about by the UPC and AI.”

Dr. Nico Karius on his motivation: “I look forward to putting my special technical expertise to use at BARDEHLE PAGENBERG and find it especially exciting that the patent and legal practices are very well balanced within the firm. This means we can always put together the perfect team for our clients.”

Lisa Lilge feels vindicated: “My time as a research associate at BARDHELE PAGENBERG has already convinced me of the exceptional team spirit and the high quality of the work. I am very happy to now be part of BARDEHLE PAGENBERG as an attorney-at-law and to grow with the new tasks.”

Dr. Niels Gierse joins from Hogan Lovells, where he represented international clients in patent infringement and validity proceedings, including UPC proceedings. In addition, he led LegalTech projects. “To me, the integration of contentious proceedings and grant proceedings at BARDEHLE PAGENBERG is particularly appealing – similar to crash testing in car manufacturing, these areas complement each other. I look forward to high-tech mandates and to jointly advancing the use of artificial intelligence in our day-to-day work.”

Dr. Markus Morgenroth joins from a renowned Munich law firm, where he represented national and international clients in patent disputes and advised them on contract law matters. “I am very pleased to join a powerful team of attorneys-at-law and patent attorneys who are pioneering the litigation of disputes before the UPC, thus shaping the case law of a newly created court from scratch.”

Eva Flach starts her professional career working for BARDEHLE PAGENBERG: “I am delighted to be starting my career as an attorney-at-law directly in one of the leading IP law firms and to be able to learn from the best in their field.”
