BARDEHLE PAGENBERG continues to expand its team with experienced specialists

BARDEHLE PAGENBERG is strengthening its team with further notable new hires in the first half of 2024.

Johannes Lang, Managing Partner of BARDEHLE PAGENBERG, is very pleased about the new additions to the team: “In Dr. Albert Lindner, we have found a senior consultant who scores with his experience as former chairman of a Technical Board of Appeal at the European Patent Office and who now fills an outstanding advisory role in our firm.” He further states that BARDEHLE PAGENBERG’s international strategy, the development and expansion of its network in Asia and especially in Japan, “has gained additional momentum with the arrival of attorney Nobuchika Mamine, coupled with intercultural expertise”. We are therefore delighted that we can now also draw on the scientific expertise of Dr. Markus Ackermann.”

Dr. Albert Lindner (Ph.D.)

Having served as a judge at the European Patent Office for many years, Dr. Albert Lindner has extensive knowledge of EP patent prosecution, opposition, and appeal proceedings.

After completing a degree in pharmacy and a doctorate in organic chemistry, he worked at the European Patent Office (EPO) for more than three decades, most recently as chairman of a Technical Board of Appeal in the field of life sciences and as a member of the Enlarged Board of Appeal.

He is also a member of the team of authors of the Singer-Stauder-Luginbühl EPC commentary.

Nobuchika Mamine (LL.M.)
Attorney-at-law (Rechtsanwalt), Certified IP lawyer, UPC Representative, Senior Associate, Munich office

Nobuchika Mamine has been advising and representing companies in the field of intellectual property law for over fifteen years and specializes in national and cross-border patent disputes. He has extensive experience as a patent litigator from his time at renowned German IP law firms.

Nobuchika Mamine is particularly active in the fields of electrical engineering and chemistry. He also advises clients on contracts and antitrust issues relating to intellectual property and due diligence.

Nobuchika Mamine regularly gives lectures on current patent law issues at universities and associations, particularly in Japan and the USA.

Dr. Markus Ackermann (Dr. rer. nat., Dipl.-Biochem. Univ.)
German and European Patent Attorney, UPC Representative, Senior Associate, Munich office

Dr. Markus Ackermann specializes in patent prosecution and litigation in the fields of pharmaceuticals and biochemistry/biotechnology. He has handled national and international patent disputes throughout Europe, in particular in Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Portugal, Sweden, and Switzerland. 

Before entering the patent field, he acquired his technical knowledge at universities in Germany and the United States and received his doctorate from the LMU Munich. 

Dr. Markus Ackermann has authored numerous publications covering both scientific and legal subjects. Apart from his publications, he also provides access to patent law through workshops at renowned institutions such as the Max Planck Institute and the Charité Berlin.
