Simon Essing

Dr.-Ing., M. Sc. (Mechanical Engineering)

Simon Essing brings a solid background in engineering and expertise in microsystems to his professional endeavors. He holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and conducted his doctoral studies in the field of gas sensing. Simon's experience ranges from hands-on research as a research engineer in the semiconductor industry to academia as a doctoral student where he taught undergraduates and made significant contributions to R&D in sensor technology. In addition, his role as a freelance lecturer at a Singaporean university reflects his ability to communicate complex technical knowledge.

With a background in both academia and industry, I have seen first-hand that intellectual property is not just about protecting ideas; it is about serving as the foundation for continuous innovation and entrepreneurship.

Publications

Simon Essing is the author of several publications in the field of photoacoustic gas sensing. These deal with the physical models, measurement methods and algorithms developed during the research.
