Mathieu de Rooij’s practice is focused on patent prosecution, and particularly in the fields of renewable energy, medical devices, and automotive technology. During his years as an EPO examiner he gained a privileged insight into the EPO and the minds of the examiners. He is an expert in EPO opposition and appeal procedures and regularly acts as speaker in collaboration with the EPO.
Mathieu de Rooij received the Client Choice Award for Patent Law in Spain 2015 and 2019, as well as the Client Choice Award for Patent Law in Europe in 2017.
