Michael Platzöder’s practice primarily covers all matters relating to patents and utility models from prosecution to enforcement, litigation and defense as well as counseling in the areas of International Intellectual Property Management and Licensing with an emphasis on high-tech sectors including semiconductor, telecom, computer, electronics, IT, Software, Smart Cards, printers as well as document security and anti-counterfeiting technologies.
Having spent many years of his career in the globalized semiconductor and telecom industries and having borne responsibility for a broad range of Intellectual Property and telecom-standards related matters, Michael Platzöder has gathered an intimate knowledge of these industries and markets and the related world of Intellectual Property in Europe, USA and Asia. Professional activities ranged from IP-generation, protection and portfolio management to enforcement, litigation, patent and technology licensing, sale and acquisition, R&D-cooperation, M&A, dispute resolution (ADR), risk management and the conception and implementation of IP-strategies for businesses acting in international markets.
