Dario Mohammadian Santanders’s main areas of practice include patent prosecution, litigation, and consultation in the general fields of electrical and mechanical engineering, with his specialized field being communication systems, signal processing, and microelectronics. In his five years as a patent examiner at the European Patent Office, Dario Mohammadian Santander acquired extensive experience in both the search and examination of European patent applications and international PCT applications, which provided a unique and valuable experience for the effective prosecution of our clients’ patent applications.


 Having worked for medium-sized, large and leading technology companies for almost 20 years, Dario Mohammadian Santander has acquired valuable experience in technology and technology management. As a Resident Partner at the Barcelona office of BARDEHLE PAGENBERG, he offers strategic consulting for both start-ups and large multinational firms with an established IP portfolio, as well as providing advice and representation in application and opposition procedures before the various national, European and international patent offices, and acting as an expert technical witness in court, among other activities.


In this capacity, Dario Mohammadian Santander advises the firm’s Spanish and international clients on all aspects of intellectual property, particularly on patent matters in Spain.

Dario Mohammadian is a guest lecturer on the Master´s in Intellectual Property course (Magister Lucentinus, University of Alicante, Spain), as well as on the CEIPI course on European Patent Law in Spain (Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies, University of Strasbourg, France).

He is an active member of the Spanish chapters of AIPPI and LES, as well as being a member of LES International’s European Committee and IT & Electronics Committee.
