Joachim Mader's practice focuses on prosecution of patents, invalidity proceedings and infringement proceedings in a number of different technical fields of mechanical engineering and processing technology, in particular float glass and fabricated glass products, electrical connector systems, heat accumulators, thermal transfer and wood processing. A special focus is on opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office.
Close and direct cooperation with the attorneys-at-law of the firm in (parallel) invalidity proceedings and in infringement proceedings before the District Courts, the Federal Supreme Court and the Federal Patent Court allows for practice-oriented advice concerning the filing of patents before the EPO and the GPTO.
Among his clients are one of the world's largest manufacturers of float glass and fabricated glass products, and one of Europe's leading manufacturers of automotive connectors. Currently a leading US manufacturer of coated glass is being represented in different patent infringement proceedings and in parallel invalidity proceedings.
