Patent and utility model law, in particular in the technical fields of mobile radio technology (e.g. UMTS mobile standards and mobile terminals), IT and computer-implemented inventions, electrical engineering, navigation technology, mechanical engineering (in particular automotive engineering and special purpose machinery manufacture).

The practice of Dr. Christian Haupt as a patent attorney focuses on both patent prosecution before the German and European patent offices as well as defending and attacking patents in opposition proceedings before the respective patent offices.

Another focus is the enforcement of IP rights in patent infringement and (parallel) nullity proceedings before the Federal Patent Court as well as infringement and validity opinions.

Currently, Dr. Christian Haupt, as member of a team of attorneys-at-law and patent attorneys, is involved in a series of patent infringement proceedings of a large US software company in the field of mobile terminals, in particular cell phones and tablet computers.
