Thomas Gniadek focuses on national und international patent litigation in all technical fields and also provides general legal advice in matters relating to patents, utility models and employee inventions, as well as technology-related copyright, unfair competition and anti-trust law.
He has specific experience in the sectors of electronics, television technology, mechanics, photovoltaics, automotives, food technology, medical technology, telecommunications and IT.
In close cooperation with our patent attorneys, Thomas Gniadek represents our clients in infringement actions, nullity and opposition proceedings before the German infringement courts, the German Federal Patent Court, the German Patent and Trademark Office, the European Patent Office and the German Federal Supreme Court. Further, he advises on technology-related contractual matters and drafts agreements in particular in the fields of licensing, R&D and employee inventions. Thomas Gniadek wrote his doctoral thesis on the possibilities of (pre)trial discovery in European and German intellectual property and copyright law and therefore has specific expertise in this area.
