Claus Eckhartt focuses on procuring trademark protection and enforcement. His international clients come from sectors such as pharmaceuticals, consumer health care, household goods and the food and beverages sector.

Recent major litigation in which he was successfully involved includes a high-profile trademark infringement and invalidation case concerning three-headed rotary shavers as well as a series of comparative advertising cases of restaurant chains involving litigation between the major competitors in this field.

As head of the firm's trademark department, Claus Eckhartt is responsible for the management and prosecution of worldwide trademark and design portfolios, including enforcement of associated protection rights and advice in relation to parallel imports of counterfeit goods. Other areas include licensing agreements, merchandising, franchising and joint ventures.

In September 2009 Claus Eckhartt was elected co-managing partner of the firm.
