Primary Practice
Wolfgang Dost is a founding member of this IP law firm, having set up the first nucleus together with Udo Altenburg and Jochen Pagenberg at Galileiplatz 1 in 1977. Since then Dr. Dost has become internationally known for his patent expertise in chemistry at BARDEHLE PAGENBERG.
The primary practice of Wolfgang Dost, who has reached the 'of counsel' status since 2003, is in patent prosecution and patent litigation. The technical spectrum of Wolfgang Dost encompasses all fields of chemistry and biotechnology. Specific examples are polymer chemistry, petro-chemistry, drugs, drug formulation, gene technology and antibodies.
In addition to the granting proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office and the EPO, his practice extends to patent validity proceedings before the German Federal Patent Court and the Supreme Court as well as opposition proceedings atthe EPO.
Wolfgang Dost has extensive experience in the litigation of pharmaceutical patents. Cases are handled in close cooperation with the attorneys-at-law of the firm specializing in IP matters. One recent case involving a major pharmaceutical corporation was pursued through all instances of the German court system which is very rare in patent cases.
