Dr. Hans Wegner's practice covers all matters relating to patents, utility models and designs with an emphasis on the prosecution of European and German patents. His regular representation of clients also in patent infringement proceedings provides a constant feedback for his prosecution work. The focus is therefore on obtaining patents which are not only valid but valuable, since they maximize the chances of successful enforcement.
Having the broad technical background of a physicist, Hans Wegner prosecutes and enforces patents in a wide variety of technical fields. Clients include the European market leader in the sporting goods industry and a world leading PC manufacturer. He has a special interest in the challenging field of computer implemented inventions and telecommunications, where he represents a major manufacturer of XML databases and a technology leader in mobile phone technology.
Since 2004 Hans Wegner teaches Patent and Design Law for the Master Course of Integral Studies, a product innovation and design program at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art.
Hans Wegner is listed as a recommended lawyer in Chambers Global 2007 and in the JUVE Handbook 2006/2007 on German law firms.
