

Sebastian Stier is primarily concerned with patent prosecution in wireless communication and computer-related technologies. Being a physicist and computer scientist with 15 years experience in the high-tech industry, he combines broad knowledge in a range of technologies with an understanding of their economic and strategic significance.
Sebastian Stier studied physics at the University of Heidelberg with a focus on theoretical physics and mathematics. In 1991 he joined Siemens Corporate Research as a software developer and project manager in medical image processing and video communication, including the MPEG standardization. As an innovation manager in the Siemens Innovation Initiative, he was responsible for fostering new businesses based on new technologies. In 2000 he moved to Siemens Mobile Phones and gained extensive experience in international technology management and project management for mobile communication.
