Litigation and counselling in IP matters with an emphasis on procuring trademark protection and handling of international trademark portfolios; administration of world-wide domain name portfolios; trademark and design infringement litigation; unfair practices (unfair competition), R & D and licensing agreements, patent usurpation, employee inventions and trade secrets.

Peter Munzinger handles trademark portfolios in the fields of processing technology, air cooling, chemical plants, parquet floors, fashion, food, orthopaedic articles, bio-medicals, electronic game equipment and hotels.

Recently, he was lead counsel in a trademark conflict involving an international hotel mark confronted with the bad faith registration of a mark in Germany. Other important litigation cases concerned trademark infringement of a German corporation in the field of industrial machinery and processing equipment, inventorship conflicts and patent usurpation. He is also active in the protection of the name and personality rights of a world-famous guitarist. Another current task is the monitoring of the trademark-related aspects regarding the implementation of a Germany-wide program for customer retention.

Peter Munzinger is a frequent speaker at international conferences, an active INTA committee member and has published books and articles on the Community Trademark and national trademark issues (see publications). He is rated in The International Who's Who of Trademark Lawyers (Who's Who Legal).
