

Dieter Stauder started his impressive career in IP at the University of Munich and at the Max-Planck-Institute for Foreign and International Patent, Copyright and Competition Law, where he was Head of the Department of English Law. After working as a lawyer for the European Patent Office, Dieter Stauder is, since 1992, Director of the International Section of the "Centre d'Etudes Internationales de la Propriété Industrielle" (CEIPI) in Strasbourg, Associate Professor of the University Robert Schuman and member of the European Patent Office
His academic work is concentrating on Industrial Property with an emphasis on empirical research and comparative law. A special interest of Dieter Stauder focuses on questions of jurisdiction, litigation and infringement of intellectual property rights. Having tutored 'generations' of European Patent attorneys, Dieter Stauder has also widely published in his field. One outstanding example of his publishing activity in patent law is his co-authorship of 'Singer/Stauder', the commentary on the European Patent Convention, published in English, in its 3rd edition in 2003 (see publications). Dieter Stauder is active as mediator (certificate by IHK Munich).
Dieter Stauder's extensive legal knowledge and skills in IP can be employed to the benefit of the clients of BARDEHLE PAGENBERG in his new function as an attorney-at-law with the firm.
