Litigation of Intellectual Property rights, especially patents and utility models; trademark and company name disputes.
Christoph Lenz is co-heading the firm's office in Düsseldorf and regularly represents clients at the District Court and the Court of Appeals in Düsseldorf, the most important venue for IP cases in Germany. The location of the firm's Düsseldorf office puts him at the centre of the large industrial clusters of Nordrhein Westphalia, seat of many German conglomerates of all branches of industry.
Recent professional successes include initiating customs actions for the detention of IP-infringing goods which has proven to be a very effective tool for protecting clients' intellectual property rights and their market share. The patent cases concern various technical fields, in particular the automotive, the pharmaceutical and the medical industry. Christoph Lenz also actively represents and counsels clients in matters of Trademark and Unfair Competition Law.
In respect of his long-term practice in intellectual property law Christoph Lenz has been appointed in 2006 by the Düsseldorf Bar Council as one of the four members of its auditing commitee for intellectual property law and has become one of the first attorneys-at-law entitled to use the newly established professional designation "Fachanwalt für Gewerblichen Rechtsschutz" (specialist lawyer for IP).
Christoph Lenz is regularly speaking at seminars; a recent topic was "Protecting the product packaging from imitation". For articles by Christoph Lenz on IP subjects, see publications.
