

Prosecution and litigation of patents are the main areas of Christof Karl's legal practice. He has worked for a number of clients in the fields of computer software and hardware as well as telecom-munications. Further activities include counseling in Computer law, Internet law and Copyright law issues.
Christof Karl successfully defended a large network producer against alleged patent infringement before the District Court Mannheim and also conducted successful nullity proceedings against the patents-in-suit before the German Federal Patent Court. In another case he counseled a start-up company in the area of internet services regarding a contract for the development of software and questions on telecommunication and data protection law.
Being trained as an attorney-at-law and a computer scientist, Christof Karl is qualified to handle both the legal and the technical aspects of patent infringement cases. His professional training for the patent bar added further insight and experience in the pro-secution and invalidity proceedings of patents.
